EASEMENTS

Mr. Shuck has negotiated and drafted easements to create access to landlocked parcels. Further, Mr. Shuck has been involved in petitions for private roads passing through one party’s land to create access to landlocked parcels owned by another party.  Under the Wyoming Statutes, a person desiring access across another’s property can petition for a private road to the County Commissioners. This process is typically used only after all attempts to seek and negotiate an easement agreement have failed.  Therefore, these cases are contentious and often lead to litigation.

In addition, the mineral industry often needs easements across private property to access wells and work sites.  Mr. Shuck has been involved in surface use agreements and easements created for these purposes.
